Low-cost spectrum analyser produces fast resultsFacing mounting cost-reduction pressure from competition, engineers and technicians need cost-effective instruments to cope with various test applications.Agilent Technologies has announced the worldwide availability of its best-in-class low-cost spectrum analyser. The introduction of the Agilent N9320A signifies Agilent's commitment to provide customers around the world with low-cost test and measurement solutions featuring fast measurement speed (9.2ms at non zero span), good DANL (-148dBm), narrow RBW (10Hz), high TOI (+13dBm) and ease of use. Facing mounting cost-reduction pressure from competition, engineers and technicians need cost-effective instruments to cope with various test applications. The Agilent N9320A addresses these needs by providing quick measurement with performance and enhanced usability packaged in a low-cost solution. Supported by Agilent's excellent worldwide service networks, customers are assured of quality products and support. Also, the N9320A Series' performance feature set and competitive pricing make it ideal for the education industry. 'The Agilent N9320A is designed to meet and exceed customers' expectations for an entry-level portable test solution, providing faster measurement speed and performance for its price', says Huo Feng, General Manager of Agilent Chengdu Instruments Division. 'The N9320A's outstanding features will help customers maximise productivity and minimise cost'. The 9.2ms fast sweep speed saves measurement time, helps to improve productivity and boost throughput. The -148dBm DANL with pre-amp helps to detect low-level signals and determine the true characterisation of devices. The 10Hz to 1MHz RBW helps to distinguish close signals and better understand the circuit. And the +13dBm TOI helps to reduce the effects of instrument distortion on the DUT. A clear 6.5in colour TFT with associated easy-to-read soft keys helps users quickly read the test results. The graphical user interface supports 11 languages: Chinese (traditional and simplified), English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. USB interfaces enable the users to easily save data to the memory disk or remote control by PC, providing a fast and convenient way to update firmware. An autotune key allows users to quickly to find the highest level signal, centre it on the screen and adjust the span, which results in accurate, speedy measurements. The Power Suite provides one-button measurements such as channel power, OBW, TOI, SEM and ACP; shortens routine test setup time, ensures accuracy of setup, and improves user's productivity. Four traces and 12 markers help to better analyse the signals and understand the circuit's performance. And PC software replicates all controls and setup parameters of the front panel, providing useful and straightforward data-analysis tools. Coupled with the previously launched N9310A RF signal generator, the Agilent N9320A spectrum analyser is well positioned to reach quality-conscious and cost-sensitive market segments, such as consumer electronics manufacturing, basic R and D, bench repair, education, and installation and maintenance. This combination provides customers with a total solution, ensuring that design and production quality are not compromised and cost of test is reduced. |
