Analyser resolves interoperability questions

Alcatel Belgium is using the DSL Xpert multilayer analyser to resolve ADSL/ADSL2 interoperability issues

Leveraging patent-pending technology, DSL Xpert breaks new ground as the industry's first nonintrusive performance-analysis solution for ADSL and ADSL2 products. By deploying DSL Xpert, Alcatel Belgium is tackling ADSL interoperability and standard-compliance problems between digital subscriber line access multiplexers (DSLAMs) residing at the central office (CO) and customer premise equipment (CPE).

The company may also use DSL Xpert for assessment of third-party chipset vendors and for product evaluation within its internal development process.
