Frequency convertors ease power measurements

Available in the UK from distributor Telonic Instruments, Kikusui's PCR1000M and PCR2000M are compact 1000 and 2000VA variable frequency (40-500Hz) AC power supplies weighing only 11 and 15kg, respectively. The new frequency convertors are crammed full of features including AC, DC and AC+DC output, memory function, current limit and selectable start phase.
Users can measure the voltage, current and power of the AC and DC output.

Other measurement features include: apparent power, reactive power, power factor, crest factor and current peak hold.

Each frequency convertor is equipped with an RS232C interface and comes complete with control/logging software as standard.

Available options include GPIB, USB and an analogue input card which allows the frequency convertors to be used as power amplifiers.
