Cable tester replaces up to six tools

Specialized Products Company has added the JDSU IVT600 Tri-Porter to its 2007 tool lineup. A triple-play telephone, data and video testing solution, the JDSU IVT600 is the first all-in-one, low cost residential cabling qualifier and tester. The unit actually replaces up to six traditional testing tools, including the DSL-safe telephone test set, network tester, tone generator, cable tester verifier, tone detector/cable finder and coax mapper.

The Tri-Porter tester easily qualifies voice/telephony lines, network systems and coax runs for service levels to assure optimal performance.

The ITV600 triple-play qualifier and tester, sold in a handy carrying case, includes main unit, remote tester/tracer and 20-piece wire mapping set for remote discovery of telephone, coax and network cables.

The 203 x 89mm main unit weighs 737g with six AA batteries.

The 236 x 58 x 43mm tracer/remote weighs 283g with 9V battery.
